Don’t Call It Revenge: Unpacking the Controversy behind Non-Consensual Intimate Images
The notorious V2K Telegram Group scandal has shaken up the mainstream media just over a year ago. Nudes and other intimate pictures were shared widely without consent, as tens of thousands of V2K members had viewing access to it.
This is just one of the many image-based sexual violence that were weeded out by the authorities. Brewing behind closed doors are spiteful ex-lovers and predatory peeping toms, threatening to share these intimate images on the digital space. This is what we have come to know as ‘Revenge Porn’.
However, is the term ‘Revenge Porn’ truly accurate? Or is it damaging the survivors further? These are some of the controversies behind Non-Consensual Intimate Images (NCII) that we seek to unpack within this webinar.

Then do not hesitate to join us on the 13th of November where we will be having Ms. Nisa Rawi, the Documentation and Research Officer of KRYSS Network to share on the topic of “Don’t Call it Revenge: Unpacking the Controversies behind Non-Consensual Intimate Images”, moderated by SHEROES’, Debbie.
